Ozempic® (Semaglutide) injection

Description

Ozempic is a prescription medication used to treat type 2 diabetes. Its active ingredient is semaglutide, which helps lower blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin production and slowing down the absorption of sugar from the digestive system. It is administered as a once-weekly injection.

Ozempic is also known for its effect of promoting weight loss, which has led to its use (off-label) for managing obesity in some cases. However, its primary purpose is to improve blood sugar control in people with type 2 diabetes, often alongside diet and exercise.
